GR Groupe has acted for us in an advisory capacity, in relation to investments in real estate that we were considering in the French market since the beginning of 2005. Mandate included engineering/building surveys, identification of potential issues relating to existing buildings that would require additional capital expenditure by the owner/landlord, analysis of proposed capital expenditure plans and budgets, and generally view on ongoing maintenance and state of repair of the subject properties. GR Groupe is also helping us evaluating development potential in certain real estate investment opportunities.

I contacted a couple of the large institutional players in the French real estate investment sector that I trust and have been successful in real estate investing and developing in the past, and received a recommendation for GR Groupe from one of them.

It has been a very positive experience, as the level of professionalism and depth of experience of GR Groupe is of a very high standard which our institution entertains as well, and the team has shown great flexibility and responsiveness with deadlines, and has worked hand in hand with us and our other advisors to respect our, sometimes very tight and demanding, deadlines, and to address complex situations. Investing in real estate is complex and it is important to make sure that all material characteristics of a building have been identified and that the necessary works have been budgeted before investing. GR Groupe gave us the comfort that we “were not missing” material issues in the buildings they looked at on our behalf.
